The next morning, I glance around the kitchen. Lunch is packed, plenty of water, GPS is set. I gassed up my truck earlier, so now all I need to do is wait for Payton to get here. I've got a surprise for her. After listening to her talk about how much she loved her job, I wanted to do something, anything, really, to see that spark in her captivating eyes. So, when she went home last night, after I thanked her properly for dinner, by eating her for dessert, I got on the computer and went on my hunt for the best hiking trails.

I found a trail not far from here that I thought she’d find interesting. When I texted her to be here at seven am, ready for an adventure, she seemed reluctant at first, but finally gave in. This girl is hiding something. I have no idea what, but whatever it is, I think it’s the reason she’s here. Every part of me wants to ask her and push until she tells me. But I won’t do it. I’ve hurt her once and that’s too many times. I need her to trust me, trust I’m not going to intentionally hurt her. When she’s ready, she’ll tell me.

The doorbell chimes and she's right on time. Seven on the dot. Her smile greets me when I open the door. Damn, she’s stunning in a pair of jeans that hug all her curves and a pale blue tank top. It's as sexy as if she were dressed up. Probably more. Her long brown hair is pulled into a ponytail, making my cock pulse when I see the soft skin of her neck.

I can’t even wait until she’s in the door to taste her, and I press my lips to hers. She moans when our tongues touch, and I lift her over the threshold, kicking the door closed.

She does things to me, things I’ve never experienced before. I can’t keep my hands off her. Never once breaking the kiss, I push her against the wall. The need to touch her is undeniable. I don’t think I’d be able to if I tried. My pulse picks up, my heart pounds in my chest and my cock pushes against my zipper. From a kiss, a simple fucking kiss.

When we break away, to catch our breath, a smile slowly takes over her face. “That’s one hell of a hello.”

Kissing her bare neck, I give it a soft bite, before pulling back. “You’re one hell of a girl.”

Pressing her lips to mine quickly, she asks, “What’s this adventure we are going on?”

Backing away, I wink. “We’re going hiking.”

Her eyes light up. “What?” she asks.

“I found some cool trails. Since I know a hiking guide, I figured you’d be able to take me through.”

“You planned an entire day around me?” she asks, quietly.

I pull her into my arms. “I planned an entire day around you, baby.”

Her eyes bounce between mine. “You know this is the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for me?”

Pressing a kiss to her forehead, I smile.
